What Kind Of Project Management Problems Can Occur During A Project?

If you are a project manager, you know really well what kind of Project Management Problems can occur during a project and you know for a fact that at least one problem will show its ugly head during the project. There are several factors that will cause problems within a project and not all of them have to do with the project manager.

One of the main aspects of Project Management Problems is the interpersonal relationship between the project management team and if the team really has the capability to work together. There are statistics that show that there are many projects that are cancelled due to the simple that that there was lack of communication between project team members that the project manager was unaware of which created delays in the project and if these situations are not dealt with in a timely manner, there is a point of no return when the project cannot be saved and just has to be aborted.

The Project Management Problems also include conflicting personalities in a project team either between team members or between members and the project manager. There are times when people just cannot put their differences aside in order to get the job done and this can cause the failure of a project as well.

There are also Project Management Problems that have nothing to do with the relationships between the people doing the projects but with their lack of knowledge either about the project or about the steps that need to be taken in project management. There are budgets that have to be kept and if documentation is not supervised correctly by the project manager, this can cause problems with over spending which could inevitably halt or even cancel a project and then all the money that has already been spent will be lost.

There are Project Management Problems that could have to do with research that was not done before the project was created. For an example, there was a grocery store that was very similar to a super center and was built right across the street from an actual super center chain which had a contract with the owner of both properties. Research was not done when the new store was built about this contract and this created a halt in the new store because the new store could not sell the main components of their inventory until that contract with the other store was up. This caused a lot of lost money because the new store was already built but had to sit for almost a year due to lack of research.
